A Bit of Background

How We Got Started

Many years ago I rescued a kitten when someone threw a newborn kitten into the canal to drown her.  We rescued her and named her Mississippi.  When we moved into our new home, she was scheduled to go to the vet to get fixed the day after the move.  As luck would have it, she escaped through the door and was gone for several days.  We kept going back to our old home looking for her.  We eventually found her and took her to the vet who confirmed she was pregnant.  We choose to let her have the kittens. When she gave birth, one of the babies was a Scottish Fold.  I had never encountered this breed.  We named the little boy IO (he is the photo on this page).  He was such a love that we all fell in love with him. He was with us for 16 years.  I said that if I ever got more animals they would be Scottish Folds.

Many years later my family and I moved to New England.  I met a woman who was a breeder of Scottish Folds who was very sick.  She offered me part of her stock and I was on my way to starting my own breeding program.  As I learned more and more about the best way to breed, I purchased a few other breeds that would breed well with Scottish Folds.
